Support My Walk for Mental Health Research

Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience symptoms of mental illness each year?

In fact, every day in Australia, 9 people will die by suicide.

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them. 

This month, I’ll be taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

I'm walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute, so that they can put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.

It would mean so much to me if you donated to support my walk.

Together, we can create better mental health for all Australians.

My Updates

Week 4 31/10

Just made it with a run yesterday.  

I was pretty tired to be honest, but pretty happy to get it done.  Form "not much" to 51 km in a month was quite an effort, but happy to have completed it now.  

I'll try to keep some momentum for Movember

Week 3 update

35 km done in 23 days - not bad I guess.  Feeling a bit less sore after a run, but only a bit less.  

But still 15km left in only 8 days, so I've got to fit in 3 more runs!  Wish me luck.

Made my target of 3x5k runs - hopefully not getting into it too fast.  Feeling a bit sore but OK.  

I'm going to struggle

From '"Not many" Kms to 50Km in a month will be a bit of a shock, but I'm willing to give it a go.  12.5km a week, let's see.  I'll record on strava.
