Walking for me, and for memories

Every day in Australia, 9 people will die by suicide.

In May, I experienced the loss of my closest person to suicide. It is a numbing and life-changing thing to go through. So many questions, so much sadness, and so much grief. It creates a hole in your soul that nothing will ever fill. So this year, my 5th year participating in One Foot Forward, I'm walking for you Jye <3>

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them. My life as someone living with a chronic mental illness is unique. Both amazing and difficult. I know my illness affects those around me. But with an amazing support network, and resources like what Black Dog provide, I am thriving.

This October, I’ll be taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.
