Dear Northern Health Team,

As we continue our journey towards excellence in healthcare, I want to take a moment to invite each and every one of you to join our “One Foot Forward” campaign for the Black Dog Institute for the month of October.

This initiative is more than just a call to action; it’s a movement toward making a profound impact to save the lives of those suffering from depression and suicidality.

My Son Jamie, Forever 25,  lost his battle with clinical depression on 31/7/2023. Jamie was also a former Northern health employee working in the COVID testing sites, and then onto the wards at NH Epping.

It truly is remarkable to hear how deeply J touched the lives of so many within our team. His legacy of kindness, respect, and camaraderie is a testament to the positive impact one person can have. The stories of how he helped colleagues, brought laughter to challenging moments, and made shifts better are a beautiful reminder of the power of empathy and support in our workplace. 

Every day, you show extraordinary dedication and compassion in your roles. By participating in the “One Foot Forward” campaign, you’re taking a step towards amplifying that impact even further.
