Slowly getting there

$134 fundraised and it’s only day 9 of my one foot forward challenge! I feel like it’s been a bit of a slow start doing 18km due to less motivation, my health and bad weather but today I’m determined to reach 25km by the end of today (1/4 of the way there). I had an excellent walking buddy this morning and I plan on hitting the gym treadmill later to finish the final 7km 🐶🏃‍♀️

Day 1

Off to a great start on my 100km challenge to raise money for mental health research through the black dog institute! 😊 So far we’ve raised $82 on the first day! Thank you to everyone that has already donated to support. I also did a 5.1k run/walk in 43mins 🏃‍♀️ (not too bad for someone who is not a runner)

In fact, every day in Australia, 9 people will die by suicide.

Mental illness can be debilitating and can have a devastating impact on not only those living with it, but those around them.

This October, our team will be taking part in One Foot Forward to help reduce the impact of mental illness and suicide.

We’re walking to raise funds for Black Dog Institute, so that they can put ground-breaking new mental health treatment, education, and digital services into the hands of the people who need them most.
